The latest innovations in payroll and benefits
The TalentSoft suite provides multinational employers with an integrated performance management tool.
Employees are able to self-serve through TS my profile, TS my events and TS my actions, helping to give them control over their career progression. The software is multilingual and features elements such as assessment interviews, performance reviews, training, succession, mobility, recruitment and compensation plans.
Giant benefits scheme
A benefits and rewards scheme has been launched by giant group plc for contractors.
The package provides temporary, freelance and contractors with comparable benefits to those working within a large national organisation. When workers join the company they become employees and gain access to giant advantages; it is also open to umbrella companies.
Matthew Brown, Managing Director of giant, commented: “Our contractors have the best of both worlds: the kind of benefits employees might expect from a blue chip employer while retaining the flexibility that contractors value so highly.”
SMEs get big pension
Encompass from Enrich has given small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) access to the type of pension scheme that was traditionally only available to larger firms.
The umbrella plan features a simple pension which is designed specifically for SMEs. It includes policy terms, governance, and member reports. The scheme was built with auto-enrolment scheme governance rules in mind.
Nick Oram, Head of Pensions at Enrich, said: “Within Encompass, governance reports are included at significantly reduced rates than are usually associated with such forms of scheme evaluation.”
Talking Talent has released an App to help women through maternity or adoption leave and returning to work.
By adding departure and expected return dates the App recognises when a woman reaches different stages in her leave and prompts her to take the necessary action. The App content includes communicating with key people, career options, planning the return to work, choosing childcare, settling in and achieving a work–life balance.
A mobile attendance and absenteeism solution has been unveiled by Bodet.
Kelio V10.2 allows managers to monitor up to 10,000 members of staff at multiple sites. The touch-screen tool enables self-service and virtual clocking. It also includes activity job costing, attendance board display and absence request management.
Marc Clavereau, UK Managing Director at Bodet, said: “The new functionality offers an exciting range of new features which we are confident our customers will be delighted with.”
HR in the cloud
Armstrong Watson has revealed its HR software service utilising cloud technology.
The solution allows employers to create, store and retrieve staff details from any location. It also provides enhanced communication and employee self-service, and allows absences, benefits, training, performance and discipline to be managed.
Brian Stenhouse, Director of Group Payroll Services at Armstrong Watson, said: “Employers will be able to maintain accurate records and monitor and report on a wide range of employment matters at any time and from anywhere using their internet browser.”
