Extra reward for top performers January 2012
Posted date: 26 January 2012
Top performers are to be singled out for additional rewards at more than 40 per cent of organisations.
Research from Curo Compensation and Digby Morgan found that the focus of pay professionals had moved away from cost control. The biggest concern was the alignment of reward, which includes elements such as bonus and salary, with individual and business unit performance. As a result more companies are looking to deliver additional remuneration on a person by person basis.
Other results from the study show that effectively engaging employees through line management is another issue. It reveals that there is more pressure to demonstrate the impact of an investment.
Gerry O’Neill, CEO of Curo Compensation, commented: “By focusing on the way compensation processes are managed, and implemented, HR can effectively operate within budget limits, ensure fairness of recommendations resulting in both talent retention and engagement.”
